One of the many aspects of photography that has always captured my interest is the ability to preserve a specific moment or feeling.
I picked up my first real camera in my late teens while living near the beaches of Bournemouth. It was during these first months that I discovered a love for landscape images, especially capturing the golden sunsets against the deep blues of the evening sea. Although I developed other photographic interests as I learnt more, my passion for landscapes never disappeared. My first two exhibitions were purely landscape based during my time studying at Brockenhurst, in the heart of The New Forest.
I’m currently living in Bristol, which is a very different environment than anywhere I have been before. Part of that change has impacted some of my work, reacting to new environments and working towards new goals. I shoot more event and portrait work, but still enjoy shooting the landscapes and wildlife, too.
