A little look into what to expect when booking me for your elopement.
Approach
I photograph in a laid-back, natural style. My approach isn’t about staged perfection but genuine storytelling: the laughter, the tears, and the in-between moments that truly matter. If stiff poses and overly polished shots aren’t your thing, and you’d rather have photos that feel relaxed, joyful, and adventurous, we'll be the right fit. My imagery is very environment based, meaning I love to focus on the location of your elopement, whether it's a city hall, local pub, rugged cliff, mountainside - I like to take advantage of it all.
I only cover small weddings and adventure focused elopements as that is what I specialise in. My work is very intimate and not suited to big events and parties. I shoot digital only and my editing is inspired by analogue and cinematic themes.
Consultation
Before booking, I will arrange a brief phone call with you to talk about your plans and what you're looking for in a photographer. This is to determine if we are a good fit for each other! Please make sure you've read through my FAQs and prices and check that my style is 100% what you're looking for!
Booking Process
Once we're both happy, I will send you a contract to sign along with your booking deposit. Once these have been signed and paid for you will officially be booked in - let the countdown begin!
Pre-Wedding Questionnaire
A month before the wedding I will ask you to complete a questionnaire to cover all important names, timings, locations and photo requests. It's important to be as detailed as possible so I can plan to get the pictures you want!
Pre-Wedding Video Call
On the questionnaire there will be a box to indicate your availability for a video call. This is so we can meet each other (virtually) face-to-face and discuss the photography plan in full detail so we are both fully prepared! It's super important to get this call booked in.

Day of the Wedding
On the day, I will arrive promptly our chosen starting point. I will use WhatsApp to message you when I arrive so please make sure there is someone to meet me!
For documentary images I will follow you around in a non-obstructive way and capture genuine moments between you and your loved ones. I love chatting to guests and joining in with the celebrations!
For couples images I will take you and your partner away from your guests (if you have any!) to a pretty location nearby, the amount of time we have will determine how many areas we can cover. I am more than happy to drive us if needed. During the session I will suggest movements, positions and ways to interact based on your preferences i.e running along the street, lift and spins, walking holding hands, embracing, slow dancing and having a laugh. My style works best if you are willing to run around and embrace the scenery - the more adventurous the better! I will also get close ups and details shots at this moment! I apply 0 pressure to these images and my couples and I always have a great time!
For family / friend group shots I will work through your given list of group shots after the ceremony. I don't spend a lot of time on these photos so we can get them out of the way and you can enjoy your day. I can take two approaches to these; line you all up, smile and snap OR I will get you to walk/chat/laugh in a group for a more candid approach.

Editing Style
My editing style is nostalgic, natural and unrefined that mirrors how the day actually looked. You can expect some changes to colour depending on how the light looks on the day with a film-like quality. Photos may appear greeny, golden or dusky according to the time of day, combined with a perfect amount of grain and blur. Some examples of the types of colours you can expect below. I upload a gallery that is 50% black and white and 50% colour, as well as a full colour gallery. Examples below:

Delivery
Images usually take two-four weeks to get back to you, if you have opted for a video-add on this time is extended to three-five weeks. After the wedding, your images will go into edit then post-production which involves selecting the best images, cinematic colouring, cropping and light retouching if requested. You will receive your online gallery and password through whichever method we have communicated on, providing all payments have been made. I do not deliver RAW photos. Your online gallery stays there for one year but I recommend downloading them ASAP!
